How to remove yourself from Classmates
- What it is: Social and profile search.
- Time: about 10 minutes.
- What it asks for: a confirmation link sent to your email, the web address of your listing.
- Privacy email: privacy@classmates.com
First, check whether you're listed
Search your name on Classmates with each city you've lived in, and look for your age and relatives to be sure it's you. The free planner gives you a one-click web search for your name on this site.
Send the removal request
- Find your name in the alumni list of your school on classmates.com and copy your profile address
- Open the Classmates support request form and choose the Edit Personal Information issue
- Paste your profile address and ask for the listing to be removed
- For a yearbook photo email privacy@classmates.com with your name, school, year and page
- Reply to any follow-up email asking you to confirm your identity

After you send it
Keep the confirmation email, and search again in a week or two to make sure the listing is gone. People-search sites often add people back months later from new records, so look again every few months. The planner reminds you when, and keeps a dated record of each step.
Your details stay with you
The planner runs in your browser. What you type is saved on your device only, and nothing in the planner sends it anywhere, including to us. You send every request yourself.
