How to remove yourself from Throtle
- What it is: Marketing data broker.
- Time: about 5 minutes.
- What it asks for: a confirmation link sent to your email.
You won't find a public listing
Throtle sells profiles to advertisers and other companies rather than showing them on a search page, so you send the request without checking first.
Send the removal request
- Open the Your Privacy Choices link in the Throtle website footer
- Fill in the web form with your name and email and choose opt out or delete
- Submit and confirm by email if asked
- Allow up to 15 days for an advertising opt out and about 45 days for deletion

After you send it
Keep the confirmation. A company covered by a state privacy law usually has 45 days to answer, and some have longer. If the answer is no, or no answer comes, the planner writes the follow up, the appeal and the complaint to your state regulator.
Your details stay with you
The planner runs in your browser. What you type is saved on your device only, and nothing in the planner sends it anywhere, including to us. You send every request yourself.
