How to remove yourself from Whitepages
- What it is: People-search site.
- Time: about 6 minutes.
- What it asks for: the web address of your listing, an automated phone call or text.
- One request also covers: 411.com.
- Privacy email: privacyrequest@whitepages.com
First, check whether you're listed
Search your name on Whitepages with each city you've lived in, and look for your age and relatives to be sure it's you. The free planner opens that search with your name already filled in, for every name and place you give it.
Send the removal request
- Search your name and city on whitepages.com and click your name (not the View Full Report button)
- Copy the listing web address from your browser
- Open the suppression page then paste the address and press Remove Me
- Pick a reason and enter a phone number you can answer
- Answer the automated call and type in the four digit code shown on screen

After you send it
Keep the confirmation email, and search again in a week or two to make sure the listing is gone. People-search sites often add people back months later from new records, so look again every few months. The planner reminds you when, and keeps a dated record of each step.

Your details stay with you
The planner runs in your browser. What you type is saved on your device only, and nothing in the planner sends it anywhere, including to us. You send every request yourself.
